this mini tour begins at JR Shimada Station, and after a gentle ride you will immediately be immersed in an evergreen landscape with flowing mountain streams and bamboo forests transport you deep into the hills, where the pace of life slows.
enjoy the authentic architecture and hospitality of the Sasama region as you climb up through the tea terraces to your beautiful overnight lodging and welcoming host. eat locally sourced and prepared meals, bathe in the mountain mist and listen to the choir of crickets as night welcomes.
the morning mountain air dawns a new day and your journey takes you along winding rivers and through small mountain villages on your way back to the urban landscape and the waiting JR Shimada station.

once you have decided on a tour, contact us through email at info@ridejapan.cc or fill out the tour enquiry form. after completion of the tour application form you have the choice of paying a trip deposit (with the balance due a few weeks before your trip takes place), or paying for your trip in full upfront. in both cases your place on the trip is confirmed at this stage, and we will follow up with more information in due course.
